On Thursday 6th of November 2014 a special guest came to our class. His name was Mike (he was from Kilkenny). The show was based on the middle ages and the Vikings. It started at 9.20 AM and ended at 11 AM.

Mike showed us weapons such as sharp spears, spiky swords, heavy chain mail, two giant shields, and one very dangerous mace. He also showed us plate armour and lots of helmets. Mike told us a lot of facts about Vikings and Monks and knights. Monks lived in monasteries and the Vikings took all their gold.

Our favourite bits were when he showed us all the types of arrows because he told us the ages of them and also we got to hold all of the equipment. There were two types of bows a long bow and a crossbow. He had a lot of stuff on the display table. Mike was really funny.
