Retreat

On Wednesday the 3rd of December, our class went to St. Patrick’s College on a Retreat Day in preparation for our Confirmation. We left the school straight away at 9.20am and headed to the main gate of St. Patrick’s College. We met Fr. Liam in the college. Our class walked into a small room in the hall. Fr. Liam gave us a crime to solve. He called it CSI (Confirmation Student Investigators). We solved the crime by talking to each other and sharing our clues.

Fr. Liam gave us all a piece of paper to colour and write our names. These pieces fitted together to make a dove. During our break time we walked near the fields in the college and had a little jog passed the trees. When we returned we found father Liam there with the dove all assembled. He gave us a candle and we place it onto our name. We did meditation and then went on to the Pugin Hall for our lunch. We had chicken goujons, chips, coke and profiteroles for desert.

Fr. Liam gave us a worksheet full of puzzles and word searches. We spoke about poor countries and richer countries and the distribution of the world’s resources. We then left the college. We had a wonderful time.
