Green Flag Presentation

The Green Schools Committee members have been doing immense work since the beginning of last year. We had to clean out the compost bins, we planted lavender over by the by the wall in the small yard, we also planted many other flowers, we planted oak trees over by the fences near the college.

On the 21st of September our school received our fifth Green School flag for biodiversity. Parents gathered to celebrate as the garda band played a few songs and then we had a competition to figure out the names of the songs.

After a while the garda commissioner said to give our attention to Mr. Coakley as we were about to raise our fifth green flag. Every year we have a special guest and for this year it was Mr. Downes because of all his efforts to get our fifth green flag.

Then the garda commissioner said they had a special guest. Then a man took a trophy out of a case, it was a trophy it was the six nations trophy and all the boys on the green schools community came up to the top of the crowds and we sang ‘We Are the Champions’ while holding the trophy.
