The Magical Garden of Claude Monet

Monet’s garden at Giverny was the inspiration for many of his most famous paintings. Colour spills onto the pathways just like it does in his paintings. The Japanese bridge is a focal point that draws the eye into the painting. He and many of his artist friends, painted in the garden. They left the world a treasure trove of impressionist paintings. We took inspiration from many of Monet’s paintings following the garden theme and examined his use of light and shade.

We then painted our image of his garden and took an interactive walk through his impressionist works. We would love to visit his garden someday.
