Our Garden Patch

Our garden patch was full of life when we first went to explore. There were ladybirds, earwigs, spiders, caterpillars, wood lice, centipedes and beetles all crawling around. We were careful not to injure them when we were weeding the patch. We learned about all the different wild flowers and weeds that grew in the patch.

Under all the weeds we found a healthy crop of onions. We dug them up and examined them closely. Then we had to let them dry out, this is called curing. Watch out for the nettles when you’re gardening!!!!
