We were very lucky today because two beekeepers came to visit our class to talk to us about bees. We learned that male bees are called drones and some of us even got to see the queen bee! She was very young as she was only born a few weeks ago! The beekeeper showed us lots of things like wax from the hive and a smoker that makes the bees fall asleep.

One of the beekeepers was Lucas’ Nanny and he had his own beekeeper outfit. We thought that was really cool, Lucas looked like a real beekeeper! Thanks to Mary and Emma for coming to our class and teaching us all about bees!
