We went to Maynooth Castle. It was great fun! We got to see inside the castle. Inside there was a big spiral staircase that we had to climb. It had small windows so archers could shoot their arrows when they were under attack.

Over the front gates there was a monkey. The monkey had saved the baby when the castle went on fire.

We really enjoyed our trip to the castle!
