In celebration of the Children's Book Festival, on Thursday 14th October we were invited down to Maynooth library to meet with the author Kieran Mark Crowley. We had read Mr. Crowley’s first book “Colm and the Lazarus Key” in class prior to the visit, so we were all very excited about meeting him.

Mr. Crowley spent about an hour talking to the class. He was very engaging and answered all the boy’s questions about the book. He shared lots of writing tips with the boys and he also revealed some interesting stories of where he gets his inspiration from.

The best part of the visit was when he read an extract from his next book to the class. The book isn’t even titled yet, so it was a real world exclusive for the boys of Maynooth B.N.S!! No doubt they’ll all be running out to read the next instalment in Colm’s adventure!!
