The pupils of Maynooth Boy’s National School were recentl invited to attend the Golfing Union of Ireland Academy at Carton House. Two professional instructors taught over a hundred boys from fifth and sixth classes the basic skills of golf. Correct grip and swing skills were the main focus points.

The boys were given the opportunity to practice these skills on the driving range. The instructors were impressed with the boys’ ability and the boys benefited greatly from the excellent instruction received. A great day was had by all.
