Bruno and his family live in Berlin. They have to move because of his father's job. Bruno doesn't like it very much because there is no-one for him to play with.
But one day he looks out of his bedroom window and he sees a concentration camp which he thinks is a farm. He runs out of his back garden to explore when he meets a boy called Samuel who is in the concentration camp. He sees him every day. He becomes friends with the boy.
One day he decides to dig a hole and climbs under the fence to find Samuel's Dad. The soldiers take them on a march and they bring them to the gas chamber. All the people take off their striped pyjamas. They think they are going to have a shower but one of the soldiers opens a hatch and drops the gas into the chamber.
I would give it four stars. It was a very good film and the book was good too.
