Autumn Nature Walk

On Thursday morning, the 9th of October, Ms. Murphy's First Class set off on their Autumn Walk. We saw all of the signs that let us know it is the Autumn season. The rain held off for our walk but we needed our coats as the weather was a little chilly!

We saw orange, yellow, red, green and brown leaves. Many had fallen to the ground! We also saw four special trees that we were studying in class; the sycamore, the oak, the beech and the horse chestnut! We can now recognise the leaf and seed of the four trees.

We collected lots of "Autumn evidence" on our walk. We brought leaves, chestnuts, acorns and wings back to the class for our nature table! We found a leaf for every tree and we made leaf rubbings during art.

We had lots of fun outside the classroom and our now eagerly awaiting our Winter Walk!
