On Thursday the 9th of October all the boys in Ms. Duignan's 1st class went to Maynooth College on an autumn nature walk.

We learned the names of lots of trees - like the Oak, the Beech and the Horse Chestnut.

We were very busy collecting horse chestnuts, acorns, pine cones, colourful leaves and even crab apples for our nature table.

Mr. Murphy and Angela came with us and we had great fun!

When we got back we wrote brilliant stories about autumn and drew some autumn gardens!
