We have had lots of visitors to our classroom. Miss Henderson told us all about road safety and we learnt the safe cross code. The 6th class boys from Mr. Creevey's class dressed up and told us all about the school wardens. We went outside with them and practiced crossing the road safely. It was great fun.
Finbar from the army visited our class too. He was dressed up in his uniform. It was cool. He showed us all his equipment and let us try on things too. The funniest was his helmet and vest. He told us all about the work he does and all the places he has been. He told us he would bring his tank to school some day soon.
Santa Claus came to the school on a fire engine at Christmas. It was so funny. He talked to all the boys and gave us chocolate treats. Everyone sang songs and had great fun!
The mobile farm visited the school in March. Darragh was the farmer and he showed us all the different animals that he had. There were goats, hens, a sheep, a donkey, a pig, a rooster and lots more. We learnt all their names and even got to pet them. He told us about the food they ate too. Our favourite was Babe the pig. He made a really loud squeal; we had to cover our ears!
There were some very strange visitors to our class at Halloween. The Junior Infant boys disappeared and instead there were monsters, ghosts, lions, starwars, supermen, batmen and skeletons. Our teacher was afraid...very afraid!!!
